Explain account types
This guide explains TaskFord account types and how they control site-level administrative access, including billing, settings, user management, and ownership permissions.
Account types determine a user’s level of administrative access across the TaskFord site. They control what a user can manage at the site level, such as billing, settings, user administration, and ownership functions.
Account types are separate from site, board, or portfolio roles. A user may have limited site access while still holding higher permissions inside the site or within specific boards and portfolios.

Available account types
Regular members
Regular members are standard users who can access the site and use TaskFord features based on the app roles assigned to them.
They can:
- Access the site
- Use TaskFord features based on assigned app roles
- Collaborate in boards and portfolios according to granted permissions
Billing manager
A Billing manager is a regular member with additional access to billing and subscription settings.
They can:
- View billing history and invoices
- Manage payment methods
- Manage subscription plans and renewals
Site admin
A Site admin is a regular member with additional administrative access to manage core site settings, users, and permissions in TaskFord. App-level permissions are still controlled separately through assigned roles.
They can:
- Configure SSO and subdomains
- Assign and manage account types
- Manage user roles
Site owner
The Site Owner has the highest level of authority in the site. The user who creates the site is automatically assigned this account type unless ownership is transferred later.
They can:
- Configure SSO and subdomains
- Assign and manage account types
- Manage user roles
- View billing history and invoices
- Manage payment methods
- Manage subscription plans and renewals
- Transfer ownership to another user
- Delete the entire site
