Portfolio privacy
Learn about portfolio privacy in TaskFord to control who can access portfolios, manage content, and view connected board data.
Portfolio privacy allows you to control who can access a portfolio and manage its contents. By selecting the appropriate privacy setting, you can define who can view the portfolio and who can interact with it.
Privacy types
TaskFord provides two privacy options for portfolios: Open and Private.
Open portfolio
An Open portfolio is accessible to everyone within your organization. All users can view the portfolio and its contents.
Users in the organization receive broader access, while portfolio members can have additional permissions based on their assigned roles.
Key behaviors
- All users in the organization can access an open portfolio
- Non-members are granted Editor permissions by default
- Portfolio members have permissions based on their assigned roles
- Access to connected boards still depends on board-level permissions
Private portfolio
A Private portfolio is restricted to admins and invited members only. Only authorized users can access and view the portfolio.
Non-members cannot see or open the portfolio unless they are invited.
Key behaviors
- Only admins and invited members can access the portfolio
- The portfolio is hidden from all non-members
- Portfolio members can interact based on their assigned roles
- Access to connected boards still depends on board-level permissions
Portfolio privacy controls who can access the portfolio itself, but users will only see data from boards they have permission to access.
