TaskFord billing overview

Get a clear overview of how billing works in TaskFord, including plan tiers, per-seat pricing, billing cycles, trials, and seat management for your site.

Who can use this feature?

Only the Site Owner or users with Billing Manager permission can access and manage billing settings.

TaskFord uses a per-seat billing model, where each seat is assigned to a member in a Site. This model allows you to manage which specific team members have access without automatically incurring charges for each addition.

If you manage multiple paid Sites, each Site is billed separately based on its seat count, even if the same TaskFord account or team members are part of multiple Sites. Each Site can also have its own billing cycle and payment method.

Who can access and manage billing?

Billing settings are available only to users with billing-level permissions. This ensures subscription, payment, and invoice information is protected.

Users who can manage billing:

  • Site Owner
  • Billing Manager

What can billing administrators do?

Billing administrators can:

  • View the current plan and billing cycle
  • Upgrade or downgrade the site plan
  • Start a trial if available
  • Cancel or resubscribe to a paid plan
  • Switch between monthly and yearly billing
  • Manage subscription details
  • Update payment methods
  • View or download invoices
  • Review billing information

How TaskFord billing works

TaskFord uses a per-seat subscription model for paid plans. This means your subscription cost is based on the plan you choose, the number of seats you purchase, and whether you select monthly or yearly billing.

Your bill scales with seat count. If you add seats, your cost increases based on the selected plan’s per-seat price. If you reduce seats, the lower seat count usually applies at the next billing cycle.

Key facts at a glance:

  • Plan tiers: TaskFord offers Free, Pro, Premium, and Enterprise plans.
  • Billing cycles: Paid plans can be billed monthly or yearly. Yearly billing offers a lower per-seat rate, with estimated savings of about 28% depending on the plan.
  • Free trial: TaskFord offers a 30-day trial for Pro or Premium, if available. The trial is one-time per Stripe customer and does not require a credit card.
  • Paid subscriptions: Paid plans are completed through Stripe Checkout using a credit card.
  • Seats: Seats are strictly controlled by the site owner or billing manager. Inviting someone to your site does not automatically consume a seat; administrators must specifically purchase extra seats to give new members access to paid features.

TaskFord Plan Tiers

TaskFord prices are listed in USD, per user, per month. If you choose yearly billing, the full year is billed upfront based on the yearly per-user rate.

The prices shown on the Billing & Plans page reflect TaskFord’s current plan pricing. Final charges are calculated and processed securely through Stripe during checkout.

Self-Serve and Non-Self-Serve Plans

TaskFord plans are divided into self-serve plans and non-self-serve plans.

Self-serve plans

Self-serve plans can be managed directly from the Billing & Plans page by the Site Owner or Billing Manager.

Self-serve plans include:

  • Free
  • Pro
  • Premium

With self-serve plans, billing administrators can start a trial, upgrade, downgrade, switch billing cycles, manage seats, cancel, resubscribe, and update payment details directly in TaskFord or through Stripe Checkout.

Non-self-serve plans

The Enterprise plan is not self-serve. It requires support from the TaskFord team because pricing, billing terms, security requirements, support level, and deployment options may vary by organization.

To explore Enterprise, select Contact Sales on the Enterprise plan card. The TaskFord team will review your organization’s needs and provide custom pricing and contract details.
