What is seat-based pricing in TaskFord?

Learn how TaskFord’s seat-based pricing works, where subscription costs are calculated per paid user, helping teams scale their plan based on active users and manage billing efficiently.

TaskFord uses a seat-based pricing model for paid plans. This means your subscription cost is based on the number of paid seats purchased for your site, along with the plan tier you choose.

If your team grows, you can increase the seat count. If your team becomes smaller, you can reduce the seat count or schedule a reduction based on your billing cycle.

How seat-based pricing works

TaskFord paid plans are based on the number of seats in your subscription.

A seat is one paid user slot. When you choose a paid plan, such as Pro or Premium, you also choose how many seats your site needs. Your subscription cost is calculated from that seat count.

The basic formula is:

Seat count × plan price = subscription cost

For example, if your site has 10 Pro seats, your subscription is calculated based on 10 Pro seats. If Pro costs $7 per seat/month on monthly billing:

10 seats × $7 = $70/month

On the Free plan, your site can have up to 10 site members. If your site reaches this limit, new invitations are blocked unless members are removed or the site is upgraded.

What happens when you add seats?

You can buy more seats when your team needs more paid user slots.

On a paid plan, adding seats takes effect immediately. TaskFord charges a prorated amount for the new seats based on the time remaining in your current billing period.

On a trial, adding seats is free. The trial keeps its original end date, and the first charge for those seats happens only if the trial converts to a paid subscription.

What happens when you reduce seats?

Seat reductions do not take effect immediately. When you reduce seats, the change is scheduled for the next billing cycle. You keep your current seat count until the end of the current billing period.

There is no automatic refund for reducing seats during the current billing cycle.
